Day 19: A Talent of Mine

Writing.  God has blessed me with the gift of writing, though I can't take any credit because God is the one Who gave it to me! :-)  I want to turn that talent around and bless Him.  "Write" now I am working on writing children's stories that have good morals in them.  I am also working on a couple of novels that are coming along slowly but surely.  I want all of them to point to God.  This is one way that I can be a witness for Him...

What are some of your talents?

In Christ's Service,
Sarah

That is SO amazing Sarah that you not only have the talent for writing, but that you enjoy it!! And way to go on the children's books! The world sure needs more Christian children's books... I wil be the first in line to get an autograph when they are published. ;)
Your sis in Christ,
May
PS I adore writing too and at one time thought I might major in it. I even scribbled down a few ideas for a children's book too... say, you aren't any good at illustrations are you?! :)

Yes, God has definitely blessed you with a talent for writing. Even better, He's given you a passion to use it for His glory! :)

I could tell by how you write that this talent is a reflected part of who you are. Keep on writing so beautifully for God's glory Sarah. You will bless many. :)

Joshua :)

May,
Thank you for your sweet comment!! You are so sweet. :) It is truly encouraging.
Well, I certainly love to draw! It would be fun to work something out! :) I would definitely love to read some of your stuff. :)

Ink Slinger,
Thank you! I truly do pray that God will be glorified in my endeavor.

Joshua,
I really appreciated your comment. I am praying that God's Glory will be seen in whatever I do. I also pray that the Lord will keep me from the selfish pride of the world that some authors fall into. I want to be a blessing without being pompous. :)

In Christ's Service,
Sarah

Dear Daughter,

Yes, you have been blessed with a gift to share your words in such a way that hearts can be touched. That is wonderful in and of itself, but then you have chosen to take that gift and give it right back to God by writing stories that not only edify Him but point your readers back to Him through the choices your characters make. I love reading your work, and I look forward to the day that I can snuggle with little grandchildren and read stories written by Aunt Sarah and know that these words will spark discussions on how we can makes choices, just as the characters do, so that our lives are a pleasing fragrance to Our Lord. Thank you for giving God the glory for this gift. I love you!!
