Miracles abounding....

Ok, so I promised y'all that I would do a post about the Miracles God has been performing around here. :-) So, here it goes!  Oh, and I am extremely sorry if my blog has gotten boring, as of late.. I am afraid losing followers is a good sign that people don't think your blog interesting!

In order for y'all to really understand what I am talking about, I am going to have to give you a brief rundown on what goes on around here during the spring/summer months.   Every year for the past couple of years we have run yearlings on our place.  A 'neighboring' (unlike in the city where you neighbor is two blocks away, out in the country your neighbor could be 10 miles from you!) rancher friend runs some of his cattle on our property-or, as it is properly called, we lease the pasture to him.  At the end of the season, we round 'em up, weigh them, and then he pays us based on their weight gain.  Now let's introduce you to another guy: Joe.  Joe is the one who feeds the yearlings for us.  It gives him a bit of income and gives us more time to work with our own cows by not having to worry about checking on the yearlings and whatnot.

Ok, now that that is laid out, I can continue. ;-)  We feed our cows 'cubes' (cake feed) during the winter when they are calving.  We usually stop feeding in the spring months because they typically have plenty of grass to eat.  However, because it has been so dry, no rain, and we have extra cows on the place, there is hardly any grass for our cows to eat.  So, we have had to continue feeding them.  That means we have fed since around December until now.  We will have to continue feeding until we get some grass.

Joe has also been feeding the yearlings, but for a much shorter time period than we have been feeding our cows.  The other day, though, he called to say that he would need to order more cubes because he was all out (we have a HUGE bin that we store the cubes in.. Then we just drive the truck under, open up the little chute thing, and out it comes!).   When he called, he wanted to know if he should go ahead and order us some too while he was at it.

Nope.

That's right, I said nope.  Why, when we need to feed the cows?  Well, we aren't out of cubes!! We have been feeding our cows for longer and given them more cubes than Joe has been doing for the yearlings and yet we haven't run out.  If that isn't a Miracle, I don't know what is.......

Then, of course, we have a roof over our heads, food to eat, clothes to wear, a bed to sleep in, etc, etc.  God has been good to us........

Oh, and just to let you know... it did 'rain' yesterday.  Only problem is that it is so hot and dry, it evaporated before it hit the ground!!!  I know it sounds weird, but it does happen.  In fact, it looks rather cool from a distance.  You know how if it is raining a couple miles away you can see the blue streaks coming down?  Well, instead of it reaching all the way down to the ground, it stops half way down.. Pretty interesting.

Well, I hope this post was a little more interesting than the last couple of ones I have done.

In Christ's Service,
Sarah

When have you ever written a boring post? :)

Glad to hear that you, your family, and the cows are doing well.

Also, try not to worry about the followers too much. The ones that truly like you and your blog are the ones who stick around.
