This is from a piece of paper my Mom has sitting on her desk. I think it is really neat, so I thought I would share with you all. It kind of goes with my last post.
The job has been given to me to do.
Therefore it is a gift.
Therefore it is a privilege.
Therefore it is an offering I may make to God.
Therefore it is to be done gladly, if it is done for Him.
Therefore it is the route to sanctity.
Here, not somewhere else, I may learn God's way. In this job, not in some other, God looks for faithfulness. The discipline of this job is, in fact, the chisel God has chosen to shape me with... into the image of Christ.
Thank you, Lord, for the work You have assigned me. I take it as your gift; I offer it back to You. With Your help I will do it gladly, faithfully, and I will trust You to make me holy.
I don't know where she got it... Mom?? ;-) Any way, I just thought it was rather neat and encouraging.
In Christ's Service,
Sarah

Yeah, I like it! Very interesting! Great attitude to have for every task that's given! :)

Very good thoughts and words of wisdom. I had never heard it but did find the above author's name by doing a search.
Shelley,
Yup! You nailed it! :)
Mary Ann,
Oh, thank you! That was very helpful. The piece of paper mom had it one was torn off at the top, so who knows.. Any how, thanks for researching that! I never think to research it.. ugh. Actually, I am terrible at researching stuff, so I tend to forget about it.. *sheepish grin*
Thanks for the comment!! :)
